Mr. Najib Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia, Visited MILE

(Al Madinah Al Munawwarah, KSA, January 06, 2016) Madinah Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship (MILE) was recently honored with the visit of Mr. Najib Razak, the 6TH Prime Minister of Malaysia. Dr. Mohamed Moustafa Mahmoud, fondly called (Dr3M) gave him the orientation about MILE, its vision and success.

During his visit, he was briefed by Dr.3M on the vision and mission of MILE. He was told about MILE’s initial conception as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the Madinah Knowledge Economic City (KEC), the Savola Group and the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA). Moreover, he was told how today it has become a leading CSR program in the kingdom, dedicated, to enhancing entrepreneurial excellence and Leadership capacity in Asia, North Africa and most importantly, in the Middle East. Visit highlights also include his trip to KEC, where he conducted site visit and was briefed by Dr. 3M about KECs different mega projects in the kingdom and specifically in Madinah Al Munawara. Later, he visited the historic Dar Al-Madinah Museum which is dedicated to the history and architectural heritage of the city of Madinah with emphasis on the era of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him.) The museum is located in the heart of the first phase of the Knowledge Economic City, which facilitates interdependence and is accessible from the residential and commercial areas.


Mr. Razak assumed the office of honorable Prime Minister of Malaysia on 3rd April 2009. He is the eldest son of Abdul Razak Hussein, the second prime minister of Malaysia. Born on 23 July 1953, Mr. Razak’s life has been full of continuous learning and development. After his bachelor's degree in industrial economics from University of Nottingham in 1974 he returned to Malaysia and entered the business world, serving briefly in Bank Negara (Central Bank) and later Petronas (Malaysia's national oil company) as a public affairs manager.
